The Georgia CIO Leadership Association (GeorgiaCIO) is Georgia’s preeminent professional association for senior technology leaders. Founded in 2003, our membership is comprised exclusively of chief information officers (or individuals in equivalent positions) from public and private companies, government, education and non-profit organizations including a majority of the billion dollar organizations in the state.
GeorgiaCIO is led by an Executive Director and a CIO Advisory Board which sets the annual programming agenda for the association. Events are facilitated by a full-time professional staff and underwritten by Deloitte, IBM, Intellinet, Microsoft, and Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP. GeorgiaCIO member events are strictly non-commercial and attended solely by CIO-level executives.
MISSION & PURPOSE
Our mission is to build a strong, professional community among Georgia’s information technology leaders, by providing a forum to share ideas, best practices and experiences relevant to CIOs.
We create opportunities for technology leaders to engage in substantive, issues-based discussion related to their industries and profession. Members benefit by collaborating with others, building meaningful relationships, and promoting professional development through executive events that facilitate valuable interaction among senior-level experts.
GeorgiaCIO facilitates CIOXCHANGE™ structured networking sessions, CIO INSIDER™ events and leadership-focused programs selected and arranged by our CIO Advisory Board. In addition, GeorgiaCIO annually presents the Georgia CIO of the Year® Awards, the premier technology executive recognition program of its kind.
Members must be a Georgia-based CIO or equivalent senior technology leader for an organization with at least $100 million annual revenue. Organizations over $1 billion qualify for a second membership and organizations over $5 billion may enroll a third member – provided the organization’s primary technology leader is a member in good standing.
